Trade Mission 2026

The BY-NAM Trade Mission 2026, led by Honorary Consul Prof. Dr. Max Michael Schlereth, took place from 14 to 18 September 2026 in Namibia and brought together eight Bavarian companies from various sectors:

→ IT and cybersecurity

→ Green hydrogen
→ Energy infrastructure
→ Transport and logistics
→ Water management
and sustainability
→ Healthcare
→ Agro-processing
→ Affordable housing

→ Infrastructure development
→ Shipping and logistics

A central component of the mission was an economic forum with around 50 representatives of the Namibian economy and public sector. It provided an important platform for dialogue, networking and exchange on trade, investment, innovation and cooperation between Bavaria and Namibia.

The trade mission enabled the participating Bavarian companies to engage in a direct exchange with Namibian companies, government representatives, and other relevant stakeholders. This provided an opportunity to explore potential partnerships and business opportunities in various sectors.

A special thank you goes to Bayern International, the Bayerische Staatszeitung, and the Bavarian Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHK) for their valuable support in raising awareness of the BY-NAM Trade Mission 2026 and encouraging Bavarian companies to participate.

The trade mission was coordinated by the Honorary Consul of Namibia in Bavaria in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Namibia in Berlin and the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB).
